Friday night would be an excellent time to do something, my jury is this thursday. After that, smooth sailing. I pulled 2 consecutive all-nighters this weekend. Boo to that. 2 more to go this week. Double boo to that.

Saturday morning might work, MM's mom and sister are flying in around noon. Then we're going up to Silverthorne for 4 days. Hey! I'll be skiing sunday and monday, I think I saw a pirate shenanigan ski trip.. when is that?

Strange Story. My co-worker just bought a 1200sq ft "vacation" home down in SE Colorado in the middle of nowhere. They've been cleaning out the house and making repairs, etc. etc. for the last few weekends. It seems there's a couple of abandoned homes down the road from them, and they went exploring this weekend.

Here's the weird thing. They are all still fully furnished. And they are all clean and orderly. I mean everything is left behind. There are clean clothes on the beds, which are turned down like someone is about to go to sleep. The dishes are all washed and in the cupboards. In the bathroom, there are still towels and even toothbrush and toothpaste. And some of this stuff is really valuable, like 100 year old oak furniture, steamer chests, a Franklin stove and both a baby grand and up-right player piano. There's also a Brat and a Loyale parked on the property in very good condition, with the Loyale even garaged!!

And we are not just talking one place like this. There are 2 houses and 2 modular trailers like this. As best they can discover, they were left in 1998, and there were about 10 people that lived there. Who on earth would just up and leave every single possession in the world like this?

So, what's your vote? Were they abducted by aliens, or were they vampires and returned to the crypt for a few decades???

I would think this is the case as well. I have come across furnished homes on some of my hikes in the past. And it's suprising how some people don't take better measures to secure there stuff while away.

Because they have inquired with the one other neighbor who farms 15,000 acres nearby and who has been there for 25+ years. Furthermore, they went to the county and investigated the records, and some lady up in Ft. Collins bought the property sight unseen on a 1995 property tax lean. The taxes haven't been paid since then. There has literally been noone in the homes in 8 years. Aside from being left in perfect cleanliness, there is racoon crap and nests inside the homes, and 2 of the rooves are about to collapse.

We have a foot of snow at my house, so I'm sure Pace's server got fuct by the snow too. In a sad way, I'm happy where over here for a bit because some of the newbies are ****ing annoying. BUT, that does remind me that I heard that Enzo/Luccia girl totalled her car Friday night. She rolled it. I even saw pictures. Thats what happens when you get a 16 year old girl in a WRX. Of course, supposedly she wants to buy Moto's STi with her insurance money + mommy. Thats very bittersweet.

Jay, its the time of year when I will pretty much ignore anything you say related to moving, buying cars....well anything except what time you will meet up with me to play with RC cars.

So last night, I was trying to glue my new tires on my new wheels. I fuxxored one up, and wanted it to be perfect, and read online that if you boil the wheel and tire, it will break the CA bond. Well, I ripped a brand new tire and the rubber is stuck in the wheel and I can't get it out. So **** me, I had to order some a new set of two. Sorta bummed about that.

On another RC realted note, I rebuilt the rear shocks with thicker oil and stiffer springs, and need to exchange some springs I got (oops wrong ones) for the right ones, and then the fronts will be done and then I'll be ready to rock hardcore. I hope my new body comes in the mail soon. My stock one is trashed.
