Looking to buy a WRX, as I'm sure many are. I'm located in Greenfield, MA which is in the western part of the state, near the VT border on I-91.

Needs:
As close to stock as possible! The car will need to easily pass a Mass state inspection. Suspension mods should be fine.
Mileage can't be too excessive. I know I'm buying used, but I don't want to buy a turbo car that already has 100k miles on it.
No Yellow. I tried to make myself like one already and it didn't work. Leaning away from WRB as well, but I could make it work in the right situation.
Clutch needs to be good, or highly reflected in the price.

Aside from that show me what you've got or know about. As it stands now, I'm looking to spend under $15k and can stretch to an absolute maximum of $16k. Spending less would be nice, but I do know what these are worth. If there's any way to get into an 04, that would be ideal, but I realize that's tight on my budget.

I'd also consider an OEM swapped GC8 depending on price. By OEM, I mean stock Subaru swap, not upgraded. This would be my least wanted option of the three however.

PMs work the best for contact. Pics can be posted in the thread or emailed to pulskiREMOVESPAMatgmaildotcom

Bump, but only because I'm looking for just about the same thing :)

Figure I'm far enough away that we won't step on each others' toes.

Perhaps, but I'm not really shy about driving. :) I have a possible deal going through, but I'm keeping my options open in case it doesn't work out.

Cool, mind filling me in on the details if it goes through? I like to hear about recent transactions, keeps me up to date on the wagon market. Thanks and good luck!

Will do.

Interesting side note: In MA at least, the Wagon is one step cheaper to insure than the sedan. :)

Ouch... I won't mention what I was quoted unless you really care. I'm in a town with a shade less than 20k people though. :)

pulski - I do care (about the price you paid, not your monthly payments). It helps me when comparison shopping other wagons in the area. I hate it when people sell their cars and don't update their ads with the sale price - it would help future buyers and sellers. Edit - you can PM me this info once your transaction goes through, if you'd prefer.

And FearBoy, that's a great looking car, but I need a somewhat reliable, somewhat stock car. That thing's a bit too badass for me - and about $2k more than I want to spend. Good luck though.

What I meant by "If you care" was my insurance quote, not the price of the car. I'll fill you in once everything has gone through.
