Hey guys,
Im getting a vf39 pretty soon and going to get pe650cc injectors, tmic,up pipe, tbe, and fuel pump. Is it ok to buy a used utec even though it's not stage 4 and just upload the map? Also i have the blitz sbc-id electronic boost controller, will i still be able to control my boost that way or is it all up to the utec? I like the utec for it user tunablilty, would rather not reflash my ecu. that why im thinking about getting it. thanks

1)Yes, but if you want it to run well(or possibly even normally) you will probably(if not definately) need a tune.
2)yes

It's possible to street tune it, but if you don't have a WB02, and can't measure the power you are making, you will have more difficulty getting the tune optimised.

I was able to get about 20 more whp (on a mustang dyno) after tuning my deliberately conservative street-tuned maps on the dyno.

You will need scanner or delta dash program for tuning the 0% column and wide band for tuning 10%-100% column. You can find many topics about tuning Utec and of course you can tune it yourself, just need to read and read and learn first before you start.
