Okay I took off my silencer last week and have seemed to have lost it. Now my air bok doesent meet flush with the hole in the fender. I think i may just have to buy a new one and hack the lower half off, but what I was wondering was how much the lump of plastic might cost me.

That thing is the size of a big canteloupe... how could you lose it?

When I bought by K&N filter it came with some seals for another car. I used that to seal the box to the side and a piece of foam with a hole in it to seal the scoop. Pics of what I did (http://home.att.net/~mark.james/Car.html) .

Wish I could help but I just hacked off the silencer part and did not remove the whole unit.

Silver... so you let the rest of the silencer drop in the fender well? 128d you can make/buy pvc elbow from the intake box and have a bend through the fender well out, I'm sure it will be cheaper.

I want to take off my silencer tomorrow but if I need a part from the store I want to get before I actually start disassembling. Thanks!

One more quick question about this silencer mod. Has anyone had trouble with the dealer ship with this mod? I know its barley noticeable but I was just wondering.

I've had my oil changed by the dealer 4 times since I did mine. Unless you look real hard you can't even tell. If they look at the filter they see the K&N but they can't see that the silencer is gone.

Okay I am getting my oil changed this weekend so I have to try one mor time to get a silencer. I need to know the part number for it. I'm sure someone out ther has to know.

Post on the WTB forum. I personally removed 4 silencers, and only mine is hacked. So, there must be plenty of them sitting in people's garage/basement. I remember reading that it's about $60 from subarupart.com if you need to buy it new.

I bought a 3" 90 degree elbow and hacked one end off on an angle, then shaped it up nicely to it didn't look stupid.

I had no issues with my dealer, and its pretty obvious mine is gone, since I don't have the snokel either
