I have a 05 STI and I just installed a set of Perrin modified injectors and the Stage 3 AP map to complete my PDX stage 3 setup. FYI, the PDX Stage 3 is basically a COBB Stage 2 with the addition of fuel injectors and a Perrin intake.

My injectors were cleaned and flow tested by Witch Hunter 24 hours prior to installing them. Here's how I have them setup:

Cyl 4 - 804cc
Cyl 3 -798cc
Cyl 2 -792cc
Cyl 1 -790cc

As you can see, I have a 14cc difference between the largest and smallest injector. By my math represents a 1.7% difference and the stock injectors have a 5% build tolerance. Hopefully this wont make a difference.

When I started the car immediately after the install it ran really rough for about 15 seconds. I was reaching for the key to shut the car back off and suddenly it smoothed out a bit. Its defiantly not a "stock like" smoothness but its not unbearable. I let the car idle up to full temp. I then used ecuExplorer to reset the ECU add 100RPM's of idle speed during normal idle. I also added 50 RPMs to the AC idle speed. After the reset and idle speed increase the car started to run much smoother. Its still not at a stock like smoothness but I suppose its not to bad. You can tell something's up while sitting in the car.

Anybody else running the modified injectors or the PDX Stage 3 map notice this? Any suggestions?

So, what is your Long Term Fuel Trim (aka AF #1 Learning)?

I will try to data log that when I get back for work.

Sounds like a small leak possibly. You sure everything on the new intake is tight and the maf is seated well in the new intake? The other question would be... What cc injectors is the map made for? If it's not 800cc ones then that's your problem.

Well, the PDX map was created for modified stockers. By the way, the intake has been installed on the car for two months. I just talked to PDX. They want me to data log the car so they can make me some custom maps for my exact setup. I think this will smooth everything out significantly.

I finally got a chance to drive my car with the stage 3 maps. My impressions of the Stage 3 of the shelf map are generally good. The car feels fast although its not as fast as I pictured it. It feels very close to the stage 2 map but I think its faster up top. Its almost as if the car doesn't seem like its straining so hard as it was on the stage 2 map. I really like the new EGT temps. I have seen about a 60C drop in peak EGTs which is amazing! I did a log 5th gear pull to redline and my peak hold on my Defi gauges was about 840C. I was seeing 900C on similar stage 2 pulls.

On the other side, I did notice that the power delivery is not as smooth as I think it should be. I feels great through most of the rev range but its kind of bumpy between 5000 and 6000 RPMs. I also notice a ton of wastegate searching trying to find boost targets. This may not be a big deal but its an observation.

I contacted Jarrad from PDX today and told him that I got everything put together. He immediately responded and told me that PDX will refine the map for my car to get everything running optimally which is great. I must say that these PDX guys are really great. I am completely satisfied.

In the meantime here are some graphs:
