I have a couple of questions.

I am a full time student at the U of Wisconsin and majoring in real estate and urban land econ (havent actually taken any classes in RE because I need to be a junior). I live in LA and goto school in WI. I recently went to a internship interview at a corporate real estate firm in LA and they want me to get my RE license before i start the internship this summer. Ive done some research and found a bunch of online RE schools that off the RE Principles class needed to take the state exam but they all say that the class itself does not prepare you for the actual state exam, then they try to sell me some $200 books (on top of the $90 class) to prep myself for the state exam. Paying out of state tuition, I really dont feel like paying anything more for classes or books.

My questions are:

What did you do to prep for the state exam? Is the RE Principles class enough or did you cough up the extra $200? Is there any free online material that i dont know about (practice exams, info on what is on the exam, etc.)?

PS: Sorry for the crosspost to the SCIC but i need this info soon for i figured id post it in both Nor and SoCal forums

i acutally went to some school called Anthony's School (you can goole or yahoo it). I paid 400 but it was well worth it. The books come with the class and the teacher is really good. They also have a crash course after you finish the class, which helps you prepare for the state exam. Hope this helps.
