I have my 2006 WRX on order and it should be here in a few weeks :banana: ....I know, it's killing me. My end goal, as this will be my daily driver, is stage 2 (EM, Helix catted DP, Borla Hush CB exhaust). I'm not going to be on the track, autox or anything harsh at all. Cost will be an issue. Knowing this I have a couple of questions:
1. Which EM should I go with? There are two reputable tune shops by me and one uses AP and the other ECUtech. Whatever I go with, I do want a professional dyno tune along with it. What are the cost comparisons? Which one will fit my needs/goals better?
2. When should I get it? Since cost is an issue, I don't want to get the EM and have it tuned only to go back and get it retuned for addition $$ once I get to stage 2. Should I just wait until I have everything (EM, DP, CB) and put it all on at once and get it tuned?
I just want to follow the most economical path. I was thinking of getting EM first, wait awhile then DP, wait awhile then CB....I can't afford all at once unless I wait a long while. I've also read many people here say that the AP on a stock '06 Rex smoothens a lot of things out...which I want. *sigh* What am I to do?
