View Full Version : Stealth blinkers

So on my way home today, I was south bound on L St. As I was rounding that curve that dips into the lagoon area, there were two cars ahead going a lot slower than I. I was in the right lane, put my signal on, waited for the Prius to pass me, then I got in the left lane. As I got to the first car ahead in the right lane, wouldn't you know it, on comes the stealth blinker and over he goes, showering me with rocks and spray. So, I am like, ok, the other left lane is now available, so I jump in there, kick it down, got ahead of them all, and got back over to the right lane. I was easily 7 car lengths ahead of the Ford Focus that cut me off. Well, going up that hill, the Focus must have thought it was necessary to try and check my VIN via the rear bumper. Maybe I should have done a brake check, but then I'd have to sit for cops to check the idiot rear-ending me, but that is all hind sight, I didn't think about it then anyway. I turned onto NL then decided to play with the guy a little. Yeah I know, a Focus isn't worth the effort in any normal situation, but he seemed to be kind of a dick anyway. It isn't like I cut him off or anything, I just got ahead of him in a fast way and had plenty of room to move over. Maybe he didn't like that? Anyway, so I demonstrated that he wasn't going to out-accelerate me when he was riding my rear again on NL. At that moment I really thought about messing with him and getting into the right lane and making a rolling road-block with the truck in the left lane, just to zip ahead of the truck at the last moment. Instead, I stayed behind the truck and allowed the dude with a chip on his shoulder to pass, and of course, give me the finger. A bunch of @$$holish thoughts raced through my mind at that point, and tough as it was, I stayed where I was and let the jerk be. BTW, he has NCO stickers for Elmendorf.

Anyone else experience this kind of crap a lot? Heh, ok rhetorical question.... :P

yeah I get the "oh look your coming up beside me... let me move into your lane without having other reason to then shower you with ****" all the time. I also get the people turning onto say Tudor which is 4 lanes and pulling into the far lane I'm in when the right lane was clear. And they force me to slow down.

I did have a focus cut me off on the glenn. I was in the far left lane and they cruised up very slowly beside me and then swung into my lane cutting me off and driving and throwing all that crap on my car as this was one of our earlier break up times. Well as soon as I had the chance I blew past that focus and sprayed it good :)

I've also safely passed people and then turned off well ahead of them they did not need to slow down for me and got the one finger salute.

Its a rude world out there.

No kidding it is a rude world out there. I hardly expected the finger. As it was, I barely noticed it and only caught it when he was at my forward-right. Maybe that is because he didn't have the balls to do it when he was next to me or I simply didn't notice until that point? Who knows.... It wasn't like I was ricing adjacent to him, so I was kinda miffed at this dude's attitude. I out-accelerating him the one time while he was tail-gating me, but the other time I made a traffic manuever that placed me well ahead of the idiot and I didn't return his gift of rocks. After getting the finger, that was one thought I had, to be sure, to give him some rock spray in the face. I was like, "you ****ing little Pr**k, have some of the crap you dish out!"

I am sure I will see the idiot again. He seems to live in the direction I do. Hopefully I will remember his driving habits when I see him again to be prepared for a jerk move.

BTW, I taught my kid to give the middle finger for me. It seems to kill the mood quickly. I usually see anger turn to laughter. At least my kid sees the middle finger as something positive. He always tells me that his middle finger makes people smile.

hehe, oops. I will fix that typo.

I am not fishing for support. The dude irritated me so this is my way of venting: sharing my experience. Better than hunting the @$$ down and beating him, like some people in this state probably would have done.

Seems many people here have run into nubs like that and would appreciate the situation.

he would have gotten beat down at the next light for that, in the northeast. I seems to be an overall majority up here with people and the stealth blinker. Like they're sneaking up on the fred meyers or something, between that and how much the mentally challenged seem to be driving 25 in a 45 because theres snow on the ground. I grew up with it, its not like they've never have seen snow before, christ. Theres something in the water possibly, I stick to bottled. Sorry guys, just venting and throwing my 2 cents in on haakons situation.

I voted that very day you mentioned it. :p

Or was there another vote thread I am missing? To be honest, the options weren't what I'd choose, so I just rolled with the best sounding for my purposes.

I guess my message may have made it sound like I was bent out of shape from your original reply to me. I wasn't bent at all. :)
