now let me just put this out there, I'm looking to make about 650hp with a set of ej205 heads. I know just by lack of flow they will not be capable. They flow 200cfm while i will need about 265-70cfm to achive my goal. Now my question is who does porting, is it cnc, or can i just do it myself like i did on all my v8 engines and motorcycle engines. Also while on the subject of heads, will the standard size arp head studs support ~650hp or am i going to have to go with the larger studs? Oh and one last question, head gasket... will the stock hold up or have i lost my mind?

I doubt you'll need something as aggressive as 280's for 650hp . What bottom end and turbo setup are you going with?

I've tuned a car to over that power and compared to your heads it has 2mm larger valves, porting, and 272 degree cams. To make that kind of power on a 2.0 expect not to hit 20 psi until about 5300 rpm.

maybe so, im looking to do a ej205, 100mm sleeved, and close decked. turbo will be something like the GT3582R. so it won't be a 2.0L, more like a 2.4L
