Hi

I have this JDM bug eye HID projector headlight.

if i get an aftermarket ballast like the Raybrig DF02, will it connect straight onto it or will it come with a wiring harness that will allow it to connect to it without any cutting and soldering

Please take a look and tell me what else I might need to make this work. Thanks

The JDM lights have internal ignitors so you can't just plug in standard ballasts with internal ignitors unless you do some modifications to the lights. That said, people have been able to use other ballasts with these lights and there have been threads about it so I'd suggest searching through this forum.

Hi

thanks for the reply.

I just did some reading and read about the auto-levelling thing. Do I have that or is that missing too?

Does anyone have the part numbers to the stock ballast, wires, levelling thing, and what ever else is missing?

The leveling motors are built into the lights. What is missing and needed to make them work is the switch and harness. That's optional though, you can aim the lights manually and leave the motors alone.
There's also the matter of the beam pattern being RHD, the fix for that is to open up the lights and modify the internal plates in the projectors.
