What Kind Mods Void the Warranty ?

any mod if something fails and soa decides to try and prove you mod cause or contribued to the failure...

If SOA had there own way stringing a set of fluffy die in the window would void your warranty.

keep it stock for the first 15k makesure nothing is wrong. Then if you can afford it do to it what ya want.

Most dealers will say anything will void your warranty. My dealer said installing a boost gauge will void it. Do they do this? Yes. Can they legally do it? No, but you may have to spend a lot of money in legal bills if you're put in that position. projectwrx.com has a good write up on this.

I've asked this question to Subaru of America before. Here is their response.

"We do not recommend the installation of any aftermarket parts in any of our vehicles. Doing so, however, will not automatically void your warranty, but any problems caused would not be covered by your warranty. "
