I just returned from doing errands today, and noticed my parking lights are now remaining on. I figured it was on some sort of timer so I just left it, and returned about an hour later. They were still on. I had to take the #5 fuse out for them to go off. Anybody heard of or experienced this problem? Any ides the solution?

On the top of ur steering columb there is a little toggle switch thing there. That is a switch to turn on ur parking lights, u might have hit it by accident.
I don't know why we still have those on our cars here in the US, but the ppl in the UK use this switch.
Neways, that should take care of ur problem:)

Almost everythihg in a Subaru shuts off when you turn the key off... you cannot leave the headlights on. However, the parking light switch operates independently of the ignition, and can remain on with the car shut off. The only time you get a "ding" is when you leave the keys in the ignition and open the door.

Hehe, now that its daylight, I can see the switch;) Yup, it was that switch that was turned on. It must have been switched on at the Car Wash. Thanks for the tip.

when designing heater controls at Honda we assume that no one reads the owners manual, I guess if WRX owners aren't reading them how can we expect Honda customers to read them...

Meow! Boy can't we be catty.

Well, where I live it was pitch black, hence didn't see the switch, and I had just enough time to find the info on the fuse IN the manual. When I returned the next day in daylight, it was obvious.

Yup, switch on top of your steering column. Sadly, Keith is right. But he is still the World's Largest:

After owning the car for 6 months, and 11K miles later, I finally found a use for the switch! Read my report in the New England forum:
