Yep that's right my WRX is back and better then ever. They had the car for 2 1\2 weeks. Spent some time rebonding with the car yesterday along with JaMa and WRXNate. It's very good to have her back. I can not believe the amount of power I am getting out my WRX now that she is healthy again. MY Brullen turbo back full race exhaust is awesome and it must be at least a 20hp mode. The dealer did make a few mistakes however:

1. I had a small coolant look because the dealer didn't order a new clamp for the coolant hose that comes off the turbo. We resolved this with a new clamp and some water for the coolant I lost.

2. My inatake hose poped off the turbo yesterday while in boost due to a loose hose clamp. This was solved my loosening the intercooler mount and sliding the hose over the turbo and tightening it tight.

3. The dealer backed into something at the dealer and tried to cover up the mark with touch up paint. Needless to say I know my car very well and when I got it back it was the first thing I noticed. I complained to the service manager for a 1/2 hour and they agreed to repaint the bumper finally. My license plate cover was cracked and the plate was bent as well. Doesn't suprise me one bit the dealer would try to cover something like this up with some touch up paint thinking the *typical* owner would not notice. Now I get to live with a repainted bumper. Bastards...

Anyway, it's great to have the car back and running healthy again. I believe I have a high 13 second car now. Did I mention the Brullen has a wicked cool deep V8 sound to it? My it's nice, time to go drive...

Brian,

Good deal man - I am bumping this too. I guess all those people who called you names on the "blown engine" thread just dont want to hear that this was not your fault and that Subaru fessed up to it. Oh, well... I guess the joke's on them.

Happy Monday

JaMa

PS - Your car feels --and sounds-- great now.

What is your exhaust set-up like?

Yep, it looks like your right JaMa nobody is jumping on the Imprezer flame-wagon today. I had enough of that the last time around. Happy Monday to you too.

Loanshark: My turbo back is the Brullen full race system with no cats/resonators. The pipe is 3" from the turbo to the muff. It is the loud/wild setup that Brullen offers. Definitely not for the faint of heart if you don't like loud exhausts. :D My Brullen up pipe should be here soon. I will report back when the install is done.

I'm glad to hear that you got your WRX back and that it's finally performing up to spec. I'm also glad to hear that you like your Brullen exhaust. I can't wait until you guys get those dyno results.

As for the bumper, it's a shame that the dealership tried to cover up their mistake with the touch up paint. I had a similar problem when I went to pick up my car from delivery. I did the initial inspection and drove the car. I signed all the papers and just as was about to leave the dealership I noticed some scratches in the rear bumper. Upon further inspection I noiced a couple creases in the plastic. No touchup paint (or repaint) was going to fix this. What's wierd is that the sales lady moved the car into the service garage while I was doing the paper work. They of course blamed it on the transportation company, but who knows? All I know is that I'm glad I didn't leave the dealership with it that way, or I'd have been screwed.

Anyway, I insisted on a new bumper, which they agreed to. I worried for weeks, while waiting for the new bumper, that the paint would not match. However, the body shop did a great job and the new bumper matched perfectly (at least so far). They even gave me some touch up paint for free.

Good luck,

Hal
