thinking about getting this one, only did minor research on it so far tho, been really busy with school work.
well after reading up on it at www.alpine.com im interested in the system, it says that it comes with a turbo timer, is this included or a addon?
anyone who has this system plz post, what u think of it?? how much did you buy it for, and is it worth the money. my car has not system in it right now so i need one badly. THX

the alarm isnt to bad, but i wouldnt buy one if i was you. i think that they are discontinued now, but i cant remember why. they arent to bad for features though. the turbo timer is a feature you would have to have the installer add on. i would recommend buying an alarm/remote start and just activate the remote start for the turbo timer, or buy a stand alone unit.

The 8063 was discontinued because the company that alpine buys the shock sensor from wanted them to buy too many at once. The alarm still kicks ass, to my knowledge I don't think you need anything else for the turbo timer to work, maybe a remote start or something??? I'll find out for you in a day or two.

i was thinking about getting the alladin b4 this one, b/c it had the built in turbo timer so that is a major plus, but after thinking about it there was to much stuff on that alarm system that i didnt need...so i looked towards a more pratical one...since the alpine is not longer in production i have no other idea on what is a good system. any suggestions
also another thing...my friend told me that the alladin system wasnt that good, and alot of ppl have had their cars broken into already....and someone else confirm this?? just want to make sure b4 i buy a system that the system is the rite one for me

Have you looked at the Cliffords? I ended up getting a Compustar after I was got wrong information about DEI not offering a remote starter for MT's... would have loved a Clifford.

dont really trust clifford anymore, two of my friend he has a $200+ security made by clifford and it was broken into one nite (the same nite!!!). their cars where close to each other
the system was disconnected from the battery so it didnt sound and they took everything.......his amps..subs.....even his CDs!!
so no dont think ill be getting clifford.....it seem like they knew exactly where to go to disconnect the system

they discontinue 8063???, this is a kick ass alarm, it comes with ignition/sensor disable input for remote start & turbo timer functions, lucky i have two, one in my acura gsr and the other my bro's 2.5 rs. will stay with alpine all the way. i put my security display where the factory clock is in my acura and i put the other display where the ashtray used to be in my bro's car.
