mmMmMmM just what people need, a spare free 2.5 block with 1 scorched syl wall.

I was wondering
1st how much can i bore it
2 sleeves
3 shorter crank with longer con.rods so if i did bore AND sleeve it i could have massive disp.
4 any other ideas?

i am thinking of going all nine yards, i want something respectively with 450-500 hp and tons of torque with low boost, alky injection is a possibility too, tons of boost and low spool,

cyl heads are a question too should i just send mine out with multi angles ti, retainers cams and ss valves???

also wheres a reputable shop that can balance undrive/lightweight pullies with a light crank and possible flywheel?

shops links ideas appreciated

shorter crank would equal les displacement if thats what you meant.... but that engine would rev to hell and back.... i like that idea.....

well shorter crank as in longer rods giving more travel so more displacement not in the cylinder walls, but also i guess more centrivical force for the crank for awesome top end

No, the rods could be 20' long and you will have the same displacement! Longer stroke crank would give you more CCs. Larger bore will give you more displacement.

longer rods and shorter crank would just make your bottom end easier on itself to rev, if oyu looking for lots of torque with not too much boost, you need a looonnnnggg crank. the stock EJ25 crank is 79 mm, the EJ22, and EJ20 are 75mm, you CAN get a 84mm crank, but of course you would need custom pistons for that. bigger the crank, the less it likes to rev.

hah im wanting the best of both worlds, would it be a good idea to bore and sleeve? id perfer a high revs over torque. Also a matter of low boost and holding it so ill get external wastegates and an 18 or 20 g. I also just realized the blocks got a small chip, ill try to get a picture up tonight but hopefully comeone can tell me if the block is still useable

edit:also whats the highest revving street subie youve heard of? 2.0,2.5, or higher

and whats the most someones bored out to (litre wise)

i have heard of a 2.35L that will twist 10,500 but i can't remember where i saw that.

IIRC, it was a de-stroked 2.5L
