This is the final product of my radar detector modification.
The gauges are non functional but do illuminate in green. Illumination was achieved by tapping into the illumination circuit of the hazard warning switch below. They are stock size and were purchased for $19.00 at WalMart (mechanical). The housing itself also contains the direct wire unit for the valentine one as well as the adapter which allows for remote on/off. A wire runs into the ash tray to power the remote on/off switch. and another wire runs into the housing and up the pillar to the detector.
