Do the 06 wrx's have hids?

If not what are those little glass balls that i see in teh headlights that i always thought were HIDS?

You are confusing projector type lights with HIDs. It's just a different type of light as opposed to the conventional reflector where you can see the bulb. Either type can be made with halogens or HIDs.
While the 06 Imprezas all have the projector low beams, only the 06 STI has HIDs.

No, there's reflectors or projectors for "lens type" and HID or halogen for "bulb type".

nice thing about projectors is that you can add an aftermarket HID kit and maintain the proper light distribution with a sharp cutoff so you don't blind oncoming traffic.

that statement doesn't hold completely true for all projectors. almost, but not all projectors will be able handle the HID bulb with a perfect pattern. i have been doing my own research and came to that conclusion. and yes, that does suck.

i have the headlights off my 05 sti and am looking to sell them. I crashed the car and the brackets on the lights and housing broke but the bulbs and HID brain thing is still in tact and in good condition. I dont know how much to ask for it. So if anyone can help i would appreciate it.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone that's actually done this on their '06 already.
