I snapped the stock one today, and I think it's pointless to replace it, even under warranty, if it'll happen again. Anyone know which would be a nice strong upgrade?

options:

Whiteline- sells upgraded fronts and rears for various sizes
Cusco - sells upgraded fronts and rears for their setup
Subaru - sells the groupN bushings as a generic upgrade as part of the suspension upgrade.. not cheap, but damned good.
*optional : just buy the links from somewhere else

Narcisse91,

Do you have the stock springs still?

I'm using the stock links with my 22mm adjustable rear bar, but I figure that the higher rate of the Whiteline springs I have installed should reduce the loading on the bar.

Details please!

Well, I'm not exactly sure when this snapped, I noticed it afterward...

I managed to clip the front bumper on the ground pretty hard on the left side, took about a foot of dirt out of the ground and sprayed it about 15 feet in front of me, but surprisingly, the bumper held. That's the hazard of taking a corner to tight.

At some point on my 15 or so laps around the track (that's Jeff's track, SleeperWRX), I snapped the front right sway bar link. I don't know exactly what I did, but I'm sure I'll do it again if I just put the stock ones back on. I had to pull handfulls of mud off it just to get to it, though, and there is still a few pounds on that control arm.

Thanks for the responses, I'll check those out.

Not for the WRX, they don't.

vsigma, do you know where I can get the Cusco or Whiteline parts? I'm not having any luck finding any.

I got mine from Mofugas. I recommend them - free shipping this month.

They sent the springs out right away, but had the rear swaybar drop shipped to me directly from Whiteline. The bar arrived the very next day after I received the springs via UPS ground.

Quite happy with the whole deal. :)

I just received the 22mm Whiteline front bar (Teague's at $130 plus shipping). Pretty rugged piece. I'm leaning towards using the stock bushings rather than those shipped with the Whiteline. The WRX factory front bar is available for anyone interested.

For anyone who cares:

It would appear I'm the first person to break this link. No vendors or manufacturers have heard of this happening, and there are no replacements that anyone knows of. Whiteline is working on it, but it's a ways away. I'm just going to grab the OEM one and hope it doesn't happen again.

We're Here -

I have the Whiteline bars in the garage, waiting for install when I have time this weekend. Why are you not using the stiffer bushings suppied? Fear of noise? I've contemplated taking the Kartboy bushings OUT of my shortshift for that reason. Also got my parts from Teague's.
