View Full Version : Are you having an oil consumption issue with your motor?
Crawford Performance 03-27-2006, 07:28 PM We at Crawford Performance have been working on an effective way to deal with this issue for some time now. Through street and track testing, we have created an air / oil separator that has reduced oil consumption to an acceptable level on our test vehicles. On the street, we are seeing no need to add oil between oil changes and at the recent Time Attack we attended with an R4 / CP35R powered STI there was also no need to add oil during the two day event.
Here is a link to information about our new CP Air / Oil Separator: http://www.crawfordperformance.com/products/db_part_info.cgi?id=156

jmanrex 04-01-2006, 09:25 PM are you or will you make one for us tmic guys??
greysave 04-07-2006, 12:18 AM I am impressed I am very interested in this. Does it come with detailed installation instructions? How much test and tuning do you have on this new air oil thingy? I am really interested, I would like to not have to add oil every 1000 miles. Also have you done any high g turn tests with this?
Crawford Performance 04-07-2006, 12:04 PM Thanks :)
Yes, our air / oil separator comes with full instructions and support from us if needed.
We have tested it on the road and the race track, "and made many changes" before we offered it for sale. We do this with all our products :)
We had a car at a high G track two weeks ago that did see some oil consumption, but far less than before the air / oil separator was installed.
The Subaru in this video runs one of our air / oil separators, and after two days of racing the oil level was only 1/8 of a quart low if any.

Sorry about my PM box, you can also reach me at quirt@crawfordperformance.com
As for pistons, we no longer sell pistons. This is because of the bad rap our company has got from ignorant people that have installed the pistons and rings improperly and then blamed their failures on us.
I am sorry that the honest people have to pay the price for the dishonest ones, but that seems to be the way of the world.

Excuse me, but YOU sold the improperly sized pistons and are still currently telling the world that the undersized pistons in your blocks are properly sized.
If I EVER see you in person, you will die a horrible painful, long death.

As for us selling improperly sized pistons, you are entitled to your “uneducated” opinion. And after you get an education from CP, please post your findings for all to learn from.
If you have an issue with the dish design or the wrist pin placement, I am accountable for that. How else can I assist you?

By a violent death in a wiring harness entaglement, and then a fire.

I honestly don't care what the situation is or how much anyone pisses you off on NASIOC. You don't make death threats towards ANYONE on my website!
You have been put into TimeOut. If you'd like to start posting on the site again you're going to need to email me with proof of a personal apology to Quirt.

I got one from www.crawfordperformance.com (http://www.crawfordperformance.com/) about a year ago and it's worked out great. Quirt was just profile on a Speed TV series titled Redline TV http://www.redline-tv.com/ in which they showed the cans in production so I would assume they are readily available from www.crawfordperformance.com (http://www.crawfordperformance.com).
