Is it possible to hook up TWO, yes, count 'em, 2 of the OEM underseat subs w/factory head unit? It would be cool to have one under passenger side, one under driver side, and since they each have their own built in amp (right?) I shouldn't have to bridge anything, right?
Thanks.

Annoied........:D (sorry i just had to;))
It is possible, BUT, not very probible. I guess it might work but you might run into impedence matching issues with the stock HU.
Most stock systems are designed as "stand alone" systems and usualy don't respond very well to upgrades. Such things as "line-level converters" (crap) are used to tap into stock systems but usualy contain impedence matching circuits to cope with the load that they would put on the system.
I guess you could "beta" test such an idea and let everyone know how it worked out for ya, it seems quiet simple, that is if there is room under the drivers seat. Give it a try. If it blows up the factory stuff, well what a better excuse to get real audio equipement:D :D
Good luck on your quest,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you should have any impedance problems with two stock subs. Like annointed said, these subs have independent amplification from the hu. They only draw a high level input signal from the rear speaker channels. If you want to hookup a second sub, I would suggest tapping the input signal from the front speakers. Yes, this will get rid of your fader control, but you shouldn't run into any impedance issues. Every other connection could be spliced into, or you could just run new power and ground connections.
