When I shift hard at redline from first to second gear, I hear a load popping noise. I read in a earlier post that it is just the differentials or something. Can some one please explain. I am kinda worried and I dont want anything to break in my tranny? Someone reasure me that everything is OK.

it's your rear diff smacking teh mount....that's what happens when you throw it into second gear you bascially send a shock down the drive train which smacks the rear diff against it's rubber mount.

Do you shift really fast?? I am assuming that you probably do if you are taking it to the red line on first and second.
I am not 100% sure but, I've heard before that our scooby rex doesn't like to get shifted really fast. I don't know if is normal or not but I know that you will hear that "load popping noise" if you are shifting too fast regardless of taking it to the red line or not.
Try to take your time a little bit(I don't mean like a turtle)and you will never hear that "load popping noise" and also your car will go smooth as silk.
