For all Anchorage folks, Shawn Mickelsen's Funeral will be held at 1701 Bragaw Street, next to East highschool, @ 3pm.

His father has asked that everybody who knew him to attend, our prayers go out to them. Thank you everybody.

For those who are participating in any sort of meet regarding the passing of Shawn, take some photos and footage if neccessary of all the chaos you guys create while at Red Robin, us Juneau-ites are missing out on the Red Robin.

3pm tomorrow? All the threads on this are missing. I saw them briefly this morning before work. I was going to send my condolences. I met him for the first time last Saturday. He was a pretty cool guy the few hours that I knew him for. I recall a lot of his posts. This is pretty crappy. I'm at a loss for words.

i just got off the phone with sam he thinks it'd be a good idea to meet up around 130 instead that way were not showing up late, i know this is really a short notice and all but for those of us that can make it by that time good i'm not sure what time would like to leave sears so we may be there til atleast 215-230 at the latest . for those that can't make it til after 230 then i'd say swing by if were not there then head to the funeral and we'll meet you guy there..

ok well I just called olsckool alex because I know he doesn't have access to NASIOC anymore and might not have seen the news. I called him before I saw this and had told him 2:30. I'll try and be there myself before 2:30... probably around 2:15 as I'm not taking a lunch today and will just get out of here around 2pm.

sorry i missed out on the roll over from sears, but got caught up at the office. i'm working on uploading pics from after the funeral and over at RR.

man, i'm gonna really miss shawn. i'll think of him whenever i see kimchee or eat at RR. went thru all my meet pics i took and all of them are mostly of cars, not of people. :(

ok, got the pics uploaded. i only took a few though so sorry. i don't handle funerals very well.... still, it was a great turnout from members to show all their support. and loth, when i gave Keith (his dad) the toy wrx, he just smiled and cried because he knew how much Shawn loved his car. he said he will place it inside so it will always be there next to Shawn. i should have gotten more pics but just wasn't feeling up to it.

it was a sad day, when stuff like this happens..
atleast everyone enjoyed his memories..
even though i dont know him that well, he was
a great guy from the times i met him, always joking and
laughin about everything..

the meet went great, alot of joking and alot of laughter..
his mom was really happy to see that he has friends
from here coming to be there. she was happy at red robin, even sharing stories of shawn gettin a bunch of tickets..and paying out of her pocket..lol.. that is the way shawn wants... enjoy life..

Mavrik

it was a very nice funeral... shawn had a lot of friends and will be missed by all of us.

the red robins afterwards was great to. Its kind of ironic his dad's mission in law inforcement was to crack down on every speeder and yet here it is... shawn getting tickets all the way down in florida and his mom paid for them. :)

I just dont want to.. no1 does...Shawn R.I.P. .... you love life in the fast lane.. now you have the endless road to go on ... See ya soon... maybe not to soon.. but eventually we'll be their with you.. someday...

Shawn's memorial service and internment in Juneau was a class act. Must have been 200-300 in attendance. The pictures of his life projected on the big screen during the memorial service set to music was outstanding! It was a fine send off by family, and all those close to him here in Juneau.

Yeah that would be great.. i would definatly make a copy... I've been discussing a little bit with Sam and Josh about maybe a nice long road trip this summer to Juneau to say some words at his grave and at the same time having a fun trip..

+2!

that would be so great to have a copy for those of us here. :) i think i have his aunt's (or maybe she was his cousin?) email. i'll send her an email and see if there is any way we might be able to get a copy of it.
