This bundle has been sitting under my bed for a while now.
I have no use for it (I got too many computers already)
It's the intel retail bundle from a year ago:
Pentium 4 550 with HT and Intel Board D915PBL
It's brand new, opened for one test (my friend got the same thing and his didn't work so I plugged the processor in to make sure it boots up).
$150

Good deal...not to threadjack but I sold my processor only (from the same Retail deal) to a guy in Italy for $350...then Paypal screwed me and took his money back because I lost the tracking number :(

WOW, They want $325 for just the processor on eBay  (http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Intel-LGA775-Pentium-4-550-3-4-GHz-1MB-L2-Cache_W0QQitemZ6735069446QQcategoryZ14293QQssPageN ameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Nobody wants to build a computer?
I can even help out and recomend/find deals on the rest of the parts.
Only $200 for processor and board.

not being a computer nerd.. Would this work in an older IBM thinkpad laptop? Or is this for desktops only?

sorry dude, desktop only.

EDIT: this wouldn't realy work as an upgrade, you kind of need to build a new comp to get the max out of this board. (this takes new RAM and Video)
