Hey guys so i was doing some thinking and i have a really good deal on a v7 jdm sti motor... (something about an 8k redline sounds so nice! ) anyways i was going to swap in the STi 6 speed.. but as i thought about it the one less gear in the qtr mile, plus the cost of the RAs is rather nice... has anyone ever seen this setup.. i know the RA gears can only handle 350 or so AWHP, but i dont really need more than that.. specially if the gears are shorter like they are with the RA's meaning quicker accerlation..

Thoughts?

David

The RA's would work okay for that setup as long as your drive them nicely. If you drag, I'd probably do a PPG set instead, if you want a 5-speed.

i talked to russell at andrewtech and have decided to go with helical ppg synchro'd gears.
