04 STi with Exedy Twin Plate (18,000 miles on this clutch)

It has become increasingly difficult in the past few days to engage 1st and reverse. With my foot all the way down on the clutch, I begin to enter 1st gear gate and the car to wants to creep forward (same with reverse). I can force it in (with some effort) and drive normally with no slippage occurring at any time. All other gears feel fine.

Any ideas?

well i think that maybe your exhaust bearing are rubbing agains your push rod, causing the car to have inproper alignment of the synrco-mesh stabilizer

Dealership: says i need a new clutch

Jose akaPacoB: says it may need in need of a pedal adjustment (but i dont know how adjusting that had anything to do with engagement)
