The Chassis has about 112,000 miles.
The Motor has about 70,000 miles on it, but developed a stumble within the past few months.
I bought a barely used, new looking header back exhaust(random tech/5-zigen) and brand new O-2 sensors, but while under the car about to put it on, I noticed an oil leak at what appeared to be both cylinder head geaskets.
So, pending I trade it in at a dealership or fix it, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to throw me some offers.
As of April 3rd at 4:30pm: Car started up and drove just fine, w/no oil on the ground after sitting in the same spot for the past 4 days. It didn't stumble until I purposely made it stumble for a potential buyer sitting shotgun. I let him drive the car and he remarked that it only stumbles at certain rpm's. I believe that prior to driving it he thought it was in worse shape than it is. I think he was pleasantly surprised with how it drove.
Aside from the above listed, here are the pro's and con's;
It's got 2002 WRX brakes and calipers, but could use new pads and rotors.
I had KYB non adjustable struts and top mounts installed with Tein s-tech springs with ingalls camber bolts, but there is a small amount of tire rub when the steering wheel is full turned.
The interior however is loud because it doesn't have installed carpet or headliner and I removed the sound deadening tar/asphalt sheets on the floor from the firewall back, including that on the rear parcel shelf and in the trunk, but I left the sheet surrounding the trans tunnel between the driver and passenger's thighs. There are real Morette headlights installed, completely powered by a Painless Wiring Sytem front headlight wiring harness. The high beams still have the ridiculously bright bulbs supplied by Morette, but the heat has chipped some of the reflective coating off of the reflector. Everything still works though, and they're covered in 3M shielding, so all of the lenses are fine on those. One fog light has a small bb like chip/hole, but they're also covered by the 3M stuff, so it's no longer open. Painted corner lamps flat black and removed orange reflector, to match the Morettes... you'll see when I post pics. There are Magnecore spark plug wires installed, and an early, possibly prototype Weapon-R intake. There is a WRX muffler currently installed, but the mid-pipe is leaking where it meets the cat pipe. The cat also needed to be replaced, hence why I bought the new exhaust.
And all the badging was removed. It also has the Subaru moonroof(err..sunroof?) visor, and the Subaru hood bra too.
The driver's side door bumper molding fell off, but thats in the trunk.
All other interior panels and trim pieces are in my garage.
The only piece I don't have is the carpeted rear parcel shelf cover panel.
There are currently Recaro seats installed in the car, but unless they are really going to drive up the value of the car, I'm going to re-install the factory seats and give the Recaro's to my brother.
I still have most everything I replaced except for the factory headlamps.
I have the OEM Factory; springs, brake calipers, kind of dirty headliner/carpet/trunk-liner, factory airbox and that whole assembly, plug wires, corner lamps(one is missing the tab that mounts ot the headlamp), and of course seats.
Many extras too;
Extra Fully Funtional Coil Pack; Extra Trunk Lid(imperfect-see below); Extra Shifter Linkage; Extra Spark Plugs; Extra Light Bulbls and many more various parts strewn across my garage.
Because I'll be moving this summer, as I come across anything else hidden away, I'll send it as soon as I discover it.
There is a WRX 6-disc head unit installed, but the rear speakers are not installed as they were terrible, and there is currently nothing installed in their place. The factory front speakers were replaced by Sound-Stream units, but I left the Factory Upgraded stereo's tweeters in the door handles. I still have all the Factory Stereo Upgrade stuff too. The Console Arm-Rest Extension is cracked under the surface, and one the points where the console bolts to the floor is cracked. The floor of the interior is painted gold.
The windshield is cracked across the bottom.
The front driver's side of the bumper is scuffed pretty badly and the quarter panel was pushed in a small amount right at the front edge, which is hard to notice but is there. Accordingly, that side turn signal is busted, but the light bulb still flashes. There are also many small, pin head size chips on the front bumper, and some on the front fenders and hood. There is also two small dents on the leading edge of the hood, from an over-zealous oil shop workers palms no less. I'll post pics of any other imperfections, like some door dings.
It has been involved in 4 accidents;
1) Slid into an onject at 2 mph, impacted center of front bumper. - Fixed
2) Slid into an object at 5mph, just aft of rear wheel, drivers side. - Fixed
3) Slid into an object at 3 mph, impacted center of front bumper. - Fixed
4) Someone hit the front drivers side corner in a parking lot. - To Be Fixed
All the body work that has been done was completed by the most reputable place I knew. The same place painting some of GM's concept cars at the time. Needless to say the guys there matched the color perfectly, and there is no way to tell what was factory and what has been repainted.
I loved this car, so I put a lot of time into it.
The engine always ran mobil 1 sythetic, changed every 3,000 miles.
I did a stellar job at removing the sound deadening material. It took me about 2 weeks spending hours everyday to get it done properly.
Last week I purchased two new exhaust (o2) sensors, both for the cat. pipe. I didn't install those because I was going to put them on with the new exhaust. I still have them both.
This car was my pride and joy. I hope someone else gives it a loving home.
