I was wondering what type of mods done to the SUBARU or any other cars will be helpful in handling and looks :)

Will changing to bigger rims, lowering the car have any detrimental effect on the car other than giving it the look.

How is the maintenance in these types of things...

I dont' have a car i can call my own yet, but would like to ask the people here for advice to learn. WILL YOU GUYS help with mods? .. hehe..

Main thing is for me to research so I know ...

WindCloud, let me start by saying that you will learn tons about the Subaru by searching the main forum board just like each one of us has done, and still do often.

Since you specifically adressed wheels I will say that upgrading wheels & tires will give you better traction, an individual "look" and in some cases add wheel weight to your car which has the downside of affecting acceleration a little bit. Lowering your vehicle will give it the "look", better center of gravity improving cornering ability, with the downside of possible harsh or stiffer ride feel. There are "correct" or "better" ways to modify your vehicle...as many ways as there are opinions in some cases. You must ultimately decide which route you take...as with many of us, $$$ will be the deciding factor.

As far as "helping with mods", as you can see if you've been following our forums, we are all friends helping friends. Join us at events and gatherings, meet us and the help may follow. You can also learn a LOT by seeing the cars we have, some of which are literally "rolling aftermarket showcases"...right Cliff? :D

I hope to join in the events, but I'm not even 18 yet, but soon ..Its like being a lonely spectator at something you can't even participate.

Don't own a Subaru yet, hopefully maybe in 2003 or 2004. I dont' have any knowledge what so ever about cars.. Get a little technical I'm lost.. I have some ideas but... :D

Sometimes I dont' understand somethings in the forums, but hey, I want to learn, hehe... Hope to establish something....in the making....

Hey...I know my car is heavily modded, but the sunvisors are still stock! :D The only thing missing is a trunk monkey and STi Version 6 turbo EJ20! (Yeah, I'm wishing a lot) :(
