Greetings,

I have just purchased a new 2006 WRX Wagon and because of the success of the mods I had on my 2002 WRX Sedan I would like to go a similar route.

My 2002 WRX had the following mods:
1. Walbro 255 lPH Fuel Pump
2. STi 565cc Fuel Injectors
3. IHI VF30 Turbo
4. Ultimate racing up-pipe (removed flex joint)
5. Ultimate racing down pipe
6. MRT SS exhaust and mid pipe
7. ECUTEK and tune by Neetronics (265 whp)

This time around I will go with a VF34, new Walbro fuel pump, a new up-pipe, and use the OEM injectors. I will also transfer my down pipe and MRT exhaust to the new car.

I would like to know if anybody has had experience or heard of the 2.5 with the VF34 and ECUTEK.

You've already got a catless uppipe, so why change to a new one?

You've already got a catless uppipe, so why change to a new one?

It is three hours labour to remove and replace. For the nearly the same cost I will put a new one in.

So you're doing a preemptive replacement of the uppipe?

The dealer where I traded my WRX in is very mod friendly. We negotiated a price to put my leased 2002 WRX back to stock and my vf30 turbo, injectors, and fuel pump factored in the equation. They were comfortable with leaving the up-pipe where it was.

Bump, does anybody have any experience with a VF34, ECUTEK, and a 2006 WRX?

I'd go bigger than a VF34 on the 2.5. You might run into boost creep with it. I would go with at least a TD05-18g/20g.

i would think that it would act very much like the stock turbo on the STi, except it will spool quicker... It will be a really quick one down low, and give about as much, if not more whp than he had before, with a butload more low end grunt....compared to when he had the 2.0
