I have a set of P1s and they are absolutly worth it. I would have felt like I got my money's worth had they been 1,799. Come to our meeting in Herndon VA some time and I will take you for a ride around the block so you can get a feel for them.

I've had mine for almost 50k and they havn't lost any of the excitment. Worth every penny.

would they work with 18in P1s?

I presented the same question to Simon @ Prodrive. He says that the P1 was originally designed for the 18" wheel. Due to restriction they had to bring it back down to 17". Thus - yes, and it should work better than it does with 17s.
