price of a turbo kit and other tuning stuff, you could have or come really close to purchasing a ej20. which imho is a better route

Turbo kit I found for my car (2.2 L) from Forced Air Technologies
http://www.forcedairtech.com/P1150022.JPG (http://www.forcedairtech.com/P1150022.JPG)
The Kit Includes:
Price: $3,800 (including shipping)
Turbo: Garrett TO4E Turbo
Intercooler: A high efficiency Top Mount Intercooler and all of the piping to install it.
Piping: An up pipe (2 1/4 inch) and down pipe (2 1/2 inch) including a 2 1/2 inch high flow catalytic converter section which includes 2 O2 sensor ports is included.
Manifold: The pressure side manifold from the Turbo to the intake manifold and the air intake manifold to the Turbo Charger.
Oil Lines: Oil supply lines to the Turbo and the Turbo oil return line. The passenger side valve cover is included on all the second generation 2.5 L engines for easy installation.
Fuel Pump: Walbro 255
Engine Management: RRFPR, a voltage clamp (for speed density equipped cars) and a piggy back computer system to control ignition timing.
Gauges: A boost gauge, and a digital air fuel mixture gauge.
BOV & Wastegate: A High Performance Tial Sport Wastegate and a high performance sequential blow off valve.
Intake: Cold Air K&N Filter
People on here have told me that at that price i could do a swap, which would be better. But then again people have told me that the 2.2 L is the best for turboing. It seems like we're in the same boat man

aftermarket turbo kits for N/A engines will cause you plenty of headaches.
For the price.. an entire swap could be done. And it would be reliable.

if you are good at scavenging parts, you can be boosted for say $1000. i got in under $600 because i had a turbo already. get some EM if you are serious, or go above 5-6psi of boost. your 2.2 is one of the better N/A motors to turbo. i ran mine for a year, and had fun! i loved mine(1998 OBS-T). have fun! -keith

im doing the JDM in a 95 impreza right now. get a front clip(a pillar forward). either JDM or USDM. JDM is more power and better built for a stock engine. if you can get a 2.5l swap from a USDM legacy, forester, wrx/sti, go for it! more $$ but newer, and parts are US sourceable. i went JDM for power and staying stock. im almost tempted to do another with the newer 2.5 and 6spd. trans. because of availability. my JDM motor is a bunch of odd US parts and some not avail. here. but theres a short summary of options. there are others, but your car year is good because of emissions. just sniffer and visual and gas cap... done! no rollers, plug ins nothing. good luck, PM me for questions if you have any more! --keith

Sups!
Ok, I found an offer from someone for the swap that i want..
I have a 95 impreza L...
The offer is a Subaru EJ20TT JDM Twin Turbo Engine Dune Buggy WRX.
I was being told that i would need the following items:
Fuel Control System,
Intercooler and pump,
cross member turbo 2.2 Legacy ?
anyone fimilar with the swap?
TT is not a good canadate for a swap as the vaccume/exahust stuff on the drivers side fouls on the steering rack
if you have a 95 a complete jdm clip is the way to go you should be able to get one for 2500 or less
as all the part you listed above are more than 2500
