Does anyone see an issue with running a set of 17 X 8 WORK Emotions wrapped with a 245/40/17 on an 04 WRX dropped with Perrin springs?

UltimateLurker 04-06-2006, 01:31 PM 1. Offset? 2. Make/Model of tire please. crystal_freak 04-06-2006, 01:56 PM +47 and either Bridgestone S03 pole positions or Yoko AVS Sports xrocket21 04-06-2006, 02:42 PM My vote is it might rub... possibly. Roll your fender and you might be okay? UltimateLurker 04-06-2006, 02:45 PM By my calculations you should be fine with the S03, but the AVS is questionable. The good news is that +47 is only 6mm off of stock :). The S03 is 9" wide, a whopping 26 lbs, but 24.8" overall diameter, so you should gain a little torque to the wheels to make up for some of the loss due to weight. The AVS Sport, however, is 9.8" wide, 25 lbs, and 24.7" overall diameter, and I'm not so sure you'll be rub-free under aggressive driving. UltimateLurker 04-06-2006, 02:47 PM Take-off RE070's <---my recommendation. crystal_freak 04-06-2006, 03:52 PM 070's in the same 245/40/17? UltimateLurker 04-06-2006, 04:47 PM No, 070's in 225/45/17, and remember, the 225 070 is as wide as a normal 235, so you're not missing much, .1" compared to the S03 :). lawn boy 04-06-2006, 06:36 PM im throwing on 245/40/17 bfg gforce's tommorow on my new 17x8 enkei rpf1's....ill update you on how they fit, im praying for no rub! i believe the enkeis are a similar offset, i got them so that they would clear sti brembos.
