Back in stock and in heavy demand are the 05/06 STI specific Tanabe GF210 lowering springs, only at CVR. Thats right, they also fit the 06 STI!! Some information below on these:

The GF210 coil spring is geared towards maximum performance, without compromising daily driveability. A subtle drop provides an aggressive stance, while the higher spring rates (+20% - 30% over stock) provide excellent handling and vehicle stability characteristics. These springs provide a very noticeable gain in performance when installed.

The GF210 is well mated with a performance shock upgrade to extract the full potential of the coil spring, but will also work with factory equipment.

Each coil spring application is tested for fitment and optimal weight distribution for sportier handling.

SPECS 05-06 STI GF210

-Lowering: 1.0 front/.05 rear
-Spring rates: 5.8 front/4.4 rear Progressive

These have been a great addition to the options available for 05 and 06 STI's, providing a great stance and improved handling without breaking the bank. Check out a link below from one of our customers cars.

Now, to clear up some confusion and answer many of the community members questions, we will explain the different versions of the GF210 by year, and availability for other years as well.

The GF210 used to be available in general for 04-05 STI's, part number TGF092. This was revised specifically for the 04 STI, after the release of the 05/06 STI GF210. Tanabe's ever rigorous R&D discovered this to be a bit too general for the specific needs and differences of the STI model years, which led to the 05 and now 06 specific applications.

-GF210 04 STI (Part Number TGF092)
-GF210 05/06 STI (Part Number TGF107)

Many people refer to the 04 version as the "old" GF210, but they are in fact revised specifically for the 04. Another benefit many are not aware of is that they both fit ALL STI models, so its purely a choice of specs and spring rates.

SPECS 04 STI GF210

-Lowering: 1.3 Front/1.0 Rear
-Spring Rates: 4.3 Front/4.0 Rear Progressive
-MSRP $260/CVR $180 Shipped

These springs are also available for the GC8, and 02-03 WRX model years, post or contact us for any info regarding these applications. We have found that a great combination for the 02-03 WRX is the GF210/KYB AGX. Given how closely Tanabe has worked with KYB in the past, its no surprise. Those not wanting such an agrressive spring rate should look into the DF210 and NF210, differences will be explained below.

Tanabe DF210 for STI

The DF210 is a great alternative for those seeking a lower stance, without needing to suffer a loss of ride quality, thanks to its softer spring rates. These are available specifically for the 05 and 06 STI, as well as all other years.

The DF210 coil spring offers a large drop, while retaining superb ride quality characteristics. The spring rate is raised 10-15% to compensate for the shortened amount of suspension travel, without over stiffening the spring rate and affecting ride quality and shock lifespan.

The DF210 is unique in that it provides an excellent range of benefits, from it's extremely low stance, to performance and comfort. Overall, the DF210 is extremely well balanced for those looking to lower their car, increase handling potential, and comfort.

For those who want the lowest drop.

SPECS 05-06 STI DF210

-Lowering: 1.3 Front/0.8 Rear
-Spring Rates: 4.7 Front/4.4 Rear Progressive
-MSRP $260/CVR $180 Shipped

Tanabe NF210

The NF210 has been a popular spring choice for many cars, but some have been confused as to what seperates these from the DF210. The "Normal Feeling" springs offer the same drop as the GF210, with "close to stock" spring rates for those wanting a less aggressive drop with a comfortable ride quality.

The NF210 coil spring features a tasteful drop, and produces the best overall ride quality and comfort for a performance lowering spring. The lowered stance of the NF210 gives the car an elegant pose, while the spring rates, which are only slightly raised (up to 5% over stock) retain factory ride quality settings.

This coil spring is extremely popular with luxury tuned vehicles, as well as those with larger diameter wheels that want to eliminate fender gap, but maintain excellent driveability while reducing the risk of damage to wheels that is associated with stiffer suspensions.

Comfort especially important on daily driven vehicles, and their passengers. The NF210 provides the best driving experience for all types of roads.

For those who demand the best comfort from a lowering spring.

Current applications include the 02-03 WRX, 98-01 GC8 and soon the 05+ Legacy GT. These are also a great combination with the KYB AGX adjustable struts. We have been debating the possibility seeing these available for STI owners, so if anyone has possible interest please post or contact us.

SPECS 02-03 WRX NF210

-Lowering: 1.5 Front/1.0 Rear
-Spring Rates: 2.5 Front/2.0 Rear Progressive
-MSRP $260/CVR $180 Shipped
