Yesterday, I did an oil change on my 06 WRX
I put in GC and ran it for about 30 miles, no problems
I noticed the oil seemed kinda green lol
Anyone actually use this stuff in their car?
BTW, was wondering, is it safe for turbo'd cars since it's an 0w30?

It's not recommended by the Society of Automotive Engines, the American Petroleum Institute, or Subaru of America to run anything other than 5w30 except in a few circumstances highlighted in the Oil FAQ that is stickied at the top of this forum.

Unabomber is correct about SOA's oil recommendations - there is an oil chart in your owner's manual that tells you acceptable oils for different conditions. 0W-30 is not on the list.
With that said, there are quite a few people here that use German Castrol 0W-30, myself included.

Wow, if you're running the green you've found the rarer 2004 vintage.
As the others have noted, 0W30 is not in the owner's manual for Subaru's. Having said that, Subaru only added that synthetic oil was ok to use a couple of years ago but many people were using it long before that.
Is it safe? Most definitely! It's thicker than any unused Mobil1 30 weight even after it's used for over 6k miles, so I would say it's safe for a WRX. :) That's not speculation, that's a fact backed up by used oil analsysis.
I'm running my current fill to 7,500 miles and will then have it analyzed.

GC Green is what you are talking about. It is one of the most heralded oils. I suggest you buy up the AZ stock because it is vintage and not made anymore. It yields great used oil analyses. Don't worry about using it in the summer. It is underrated and should be 0w-40. Definitely more robust than mobil 1's 5w-30.

If green oil bugs you watch out for the Royal Purple.
