View Full Version : Is there a mistake in the '95l FSM? NPS related...

Ok,
I am trying to find out if there's a misprint in the FSM. For the '95l it's showing that for both an auto or a manual, on the NPS, when it's on voltage is 0 and in gear voltage is 10-13.

Every other Subaru FSM I have (early Leggy, '98 and 00 RS, early WRX, and USDM WRX) shows that for a MT, when the NPS is on, it's got voltage, and when it's in gear it's 0.

I have been pulling my hair out over this for a few days and need to find a definitive answer...

Both harnesses are out of the car and laid out on my garage floor.
I have done a bit of research and it appears that it truly is a misprint. I gathered this information by looking up part numbers and checking a few sources. All '93-01 Impreza manuals use the same NPS (pn 32008AA103, which is a superceded PN), with '95-96 autos having their own dedicated NPS part.

At this point, I am going to wire it as if it's a misprint, and if there is an issue, I can talk you through how to remedy it once it's in the car...

oh this is for the leggacy turbo nightmare project not your 95 ...

can't you mesure the voltage off your car (also a 95?)

That would be too easy...and I would need to go buy a voltmeter...
