Illegal: As much as I like the rareness of the grille, I kinda like the larger stock grille. You're welcome to buy it though :)

I have 99 GT... last I checked 95-99 is same body type. You sure 95-96 differs from 97-99 ?

the front bumper, and bumper support do. i know because i just put a '98 L bumper on (basically the same thing as a GT bumper, must be from a special edition or something), and to make it fit my '95 L, i had to make some strategic cuts. i could have avoided most of this by just buying a '97-'99 front bumper support, but i wasn't willing to spend another $100 just to fit my bumper on.

My car was recently hit ( at low speed in a parking lot ) I thought it might be a good time to add a new grill with the other paint.

I cant find one anywhere for the earlier legacys. I stumbled across Kraziken's on his home page.

I have considered hacking and painting my stock grill but I am afraid it will look ****ty.

by earlier legacy, do you mean the '90-'94 legacy or the '95-'99 legacy? maybe even the '00-'04 legacy?

if you're talking about the '90-'94 legacy, good luck finding an aftermarket grill for those. i've seen maybe one in the past year? if that? the grill that was offered in this listing (which oddly enough, ended up in my posession after i bought it from Mark!) is for the '95-99 legacy. regardless of what bumper you have, this grill will fit, but it's a best match with the JDM Kouki bumper since that's what it was designed to fit.

if you have a '95-'97 model with the short grill (the bumper with the huge middle section, and the small fog light openings on either side), i have a JDM grill that i'd be willing to part with for cheap if you're interested. if you have the later bumper, or even an Outback, your choices are going to be a bit different.

Too large for '96-'96 Legacy, but just a shade too narrow to fill the space on a '97-'99 Legacy (leaves like a 3/4 inch gap between the grill bottom and the top of a USDM front bumper). I am sure someone will want it though.

the JDM grill that i have looks like the one in the eBay auction that Myfirst00 posted. it's a lot shorter than the one that came stock on your car, and leaves a pretty unsightly little gap. kinda like this:

I think that I may make a trip to the salvage yard and butcher a stock one and paint it white ... or temporarily remove mine and test the classic silva look.
