how do i check the tranny fluid level? subaru says pull out the dipstick and see............wat dipstick??? (97obw)

the one to the left of the rear of your intercooler

'97 Outback wagon doesn't have an intercooler.

The dipstick should be on the passenger side, close to the firewall. It probably has a yellow handle.

Make sure you're on level ground and the tranny is warm.

the yellow handle should be shaped like a little loop or a ring. keep poking around back there.
