I installed a Samco Y-pipe last night on my 02 wrx wagon.

I was running out of daylight, and the kids were getting impatient, but I'm not happy with my connection of the Y to the turbo. The alignment of it seems just off (not parallel). It on and clamped and not coming off, but.

I had a hard time getting the hose to get onto the turbo, i wished my hands were half as thick, then i would be able to slide my hand down to help slide the Y onto the turbo better.

Anyone have any insight or help on how to get this pipe on a little better??

Again I was running out of time and light, so maybe I'll have better luck over the weekend.

cliff notes:
any tricks to help align the Y-pipe hose to the turbo?

I realize it's too late to help you, but for others who are searching for intall tips for the Y-pipe;

Put some wd40 on a papertowel or rag, and wipe it on the inside of the Y-pipe that goes on the turbo. Mine slipped on easily and aligned without issues. Just be very carful when taking of the stock Y-pipe not to damage the fins of the intercooler. I spent 5 minutes repairing all the fins I bent when it finally broke loose. Install took only 20 min.

I ended up just keeping it with the slight misalignment.

8 months later still fine..
