I just wanted to take the time to say that the AP is the most painless mod I have ever installed.
I was away in Afghanistan and had ordered it to be waiting for me. I was a bit worried that it would be a hassle, etc - but boy was I wrong.
I am only a Stage 1 on 93 but I do feel that the powerband is much smoother, and I do feel just a bit more oomph. Obviously Stage 2 is the way to go to feel the true gains, but when I come back for good from Afghanistan (I am on R&R right now) I will have a Borla Hush, and up/down waiting for me.
Anyhow, when I got here I was a bit worried that it would be a hassle - keep in mind I have been modifying cars for years now and my last car everything was custom. So even a piggy back ECU meant ripping up the stock ECU and re-soldering about 30 wires. In this case, I was fixing my headlight (when I had cleared them the one headlight was fogged up, so I was re-baking the headlight and re-applying sealant) and decided while the oven was heating up to putz around with the AP. Much to my suprise, I plugged it in, followed the directions (which took all of one minute), flashed with the STG1/93 map, and left it alone while it updated. Came back with my fixed headlight and my car was completely done - no issues!
Thanks Cobb...you can bet I will recommend this mod to anyone. A monkey could install this thing.
