I have loaded base map Stage1 93oct but will be going up to Stage2 93oct map soon and I was wondering if I can still use the Economy map even though there is a TBE on the car. Also, will there be any adverse effects from running the Economy map such as running rich due to being catless.

Can some1 correct me if I am wrong. Base map will flash onto the car and upon reset it will not go away. So do I need to load both realtime and base maps for lets say VF39 map?

yes you could still run economy. you are right the base will not go away on a reset, only if you change the base.... if you went to the vf39 map, you would change to that basemap and thats it. no need to load the same realtime.

old thread but i had the same question.

So will the car see the same mileage on a stage 2 base map as a stage 1 base map or stock map when set to the economy mode?

Questions,, i have many questions. :D

Thanks guys.

Its just nice to know i can still run the economy map on long trips. :)

Well, depending on driving, gas milage isn't really any different between stock, Stage 1, and Stage 2. So yes, you should see about the same on the economy real-time map no matter which base map/mods you are running. I can still get 27 mpg on my VF34. :D

Remember, the economy improves gas milage in city driving. Highway driving will show little, if any, improvement.

Kind of the same question here. I'm about to install a VF39 and I have a Cobb Catted DP and SPT Catback, after I install the 39 base map can I still use Econ mode even though I have a TBE and upgrded turbo?
*Sorry if this seems like the same question, I just wanted to be on the safe side*

If you look on Cobb's website it tells you specifically what you can and can't do with the economy. I'm pretty sure it says it is straight to use Economy with "stage 2" tuning. However, I believe there is a disclaimer to NOT use if you have an upgraded turbo (such as VF39), injectors, fuel pump, etc.
