View Full Version : Initialization Connector???

Well, I bought my AP on EBay, but it didn't come with the initialization connector (the blue one)

I sent Cobb's sales dept an email, but they said to expect 5-7 days for a response, but I need to try to put the AP on, to make sure that it actually isn't married to any other ECU.

Is there a way around using this connector or do I have to get it from Cobb specifically?

Or, maybe someone with an 04-05 AP got the 02-03 connector also, and doesn't need it? :D

Thanks,
Eddie

One way to see if it is married is by turning the screen on and looking at the first main menu.

If it is un-married it will say "please choose a new map to flash to ECU"

Flame thrower on: did it come with instructions?

lol

yeah you can just plug the AP into the OBDII port and look at the menu. just don't flash a map.

I'm sure someone with an 03 WRX has an 02 connector they don't need. JC
