It just happened. One day i was driving, felt kinda cold. So i turned on the fan from off to 1, and it is not working. then i tried 2, still nothing. Frustrated and i turn it to 4, then it works as usual. Seems like i can only adjust to "off" or "4". The car runs fine, it is just kinda annoying when it is "4", it is blowing hella hard, trying to dry out my contact lens :o . I have no idea what the problem is. My car is 2001 2.5RS, around 77k mil, thank you for any inputs.

This is a classic symptom of a bad blower motor resistor. This is not an expensive part and you can replace it easily yourself.
