I don't understand... I presume you printed out this one?: http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com/modifications/wiring/1998ecu.jpg

The pinout is correct, although wire colors might be different on some cars. I've used it on MY97's and MY98's with no trouble at all (except for wire colors).

Yeah thats the one i used. But thanks for the help. The guy probably just got confused if the colors were different.
But if the colors are different, how do i know what color wire goes where now?

Thanks,
-Paul

1. Open up ECU cover.
2. Look at ECU connector.
3. Count the number of pins on the chart, and do the same on the connector to find the wire.
4. Note wire color.

So you actually get it done successfully on a 98RS too, or just 2.2L?

Ummm...an Air/Fuel Gauge isn't required when using S-AFC, no?

Much appreciated :)

Since we're on the subject...

Does anyone know where I can get an "ecu pinout" for my 93? I had one somewhere, but for the life of me cant find it. I get my SFC today (hopefully) and would really like to be able to install it.

All the MY97's and MY98's I've seen have the same ECU pinouts, regardless of engine size.

It's best to have either an A/F (or Lambda) gauge or an O2 sensor voltmeter such as a Jumptronix. I've tried tuning using the "blue wire mod", and it was a pain in the a$$. Then again, so was tuning with a Field SFC and the HKS Super AFR, as there's only so much they can do with a 1-line display and 2-3 buttons. I have grown to love the SAFC's 4-line display and 6-button interface.

Ouch...more $ to spend on the gauge plus installation; know if what's the best money A/F gauge for the value? Digital display is cool, but not necessary

Thanks *again*
