Well I'm looking at talking the buru up to stage 2 I found a flashed ECU for $300 with my ecu, but I'm a bit nervous of hooking that up. Anything I should worry about?
Is it even a deal? or should I save my coin and get an accessPORT?
Thanks

lol someone has a nice racket going...
step 1. buy ap
step 2. sell the appropriate flashed ecu
step 3. take the buyers ecu
step 4. goto step 2
I would just look into the AP device. You'll have alot more options. As long as the ECU is for your year I wouldnt forsee a problem.

get the AP. dont try to go cheap. youre asking for trouble if you buy that ecu.

What sort of trouble? ITs an ecu for the same year car, milage should not harm the programing, and its saving me a few hundred dollars. This kat is unloading all his mods to sell his car. I'm just wondering if anyone else has a Cobb stage 2 flashed ECU and if they have any issues with it. I really dont need all the extra maps the AP has to offer.

how do you know youre getting what he says it is? you could risk it. i personally wouldnt though. if thats what you want to do, go ahead. you may want more than stg 2 down the road. :)

I don't see how that would make much money. It cost 345 to get new licence o reflash on a new ecu. The AP cannot be married to more than 1 ECU.

From what I understand, Cobb does not do ECU flashes anymore like they did before the AccessPort. So, the one you are looking at buying probably has a very old version of the map flashed to it. There is nothing wrong with those maps as many of us used them for a long time before the AP was available. Buying an AP will allow you to use the newest maps, switch maps and give you the option to be ProTUNED.
