Well, I finally installed my turbocharger and STi top mount this weekend.

Man, talk about a pain in the ass! I ended up having an oil leak off the return line on the bottom of the turbo. Once I noticed the leak I checked it out and noticed that the hose coming off the turbo had a kink in it. Well, I straightend it out and it was still leaking oil. I think the wire clamp that was used on that hose is too weak to create a good seal. I just finished putting a couple of zip ties on it to try and seal it. Hopefully that works.

Now for the good part. This thing is FAST! It pulls a lot harder than the Stage II setup ever did. The only bad part is I haven't really been able to really open her up (though, there were a couple on-ramps...). I think I am going to have to take her to the track and see what she's made of.

Oh, and...

i am sure it is a buttload more torque too.

Sounds like a fun setup.

I wish Cobb would come out with a VF39 map for the EJ205.

i am sure it is a buttload more torque too.According to the map notes they were able to put out 276.34 WHP & 292.6 ft-lbs on their test car. It definitely feels like it too. The crappy thing is, right after I bought all of the parts I needed for the install, they released their FP18G map. That setup is supposed to push 293 WHP & 292.8 ft-lbs. Oh well, next upgrade ;)

Sounds like a fun setup.

I wish Cobb would come out with a VF39 map for the EJ205.They did just release the FP16G maps though. From what I hear the FP16G is a pretty good turbo. Besides, the VF39s are prone to cracks. I bought mine used and it had a small crack but it still kicks ass. As soon as I can afford it I will probably get the 18G and have it pro-tuned.

NICE!!! I figured it would be more torque with the 2.5L... Yea, the VF39 can be had so cheap it is a great upgrade...
