Okay, so I've got a set of JIC FLT-A2's... about 15k miles on them total. About halfway through, I got in touch with JIC and got their "softer" US set up for the rears, so in all, I've actually got SIX sets of dampers and springs. JIC initially sold them with short travel dampers all around and 8k/6k springs front and rear, then switched to 7k/5k front and rear with longer travel dampers in the back to address rideability concerns on our rougher roads here in the US. So I have four sets of short travel dampers and 2 sets of long travel dampers, as well as 8k,6k, and 5k rate springs.
I'm currently running 6k/5k front and rear. I LOVED this setup on the track, NOTHING could touch it except for detached reservoir coilovers, and if you're autocrossing at all, this would be an ideal setup. If you have more tolerance for a harsh ride than me, the 8k/5k or 8k/6k set up would be even better.
I'd like to trade someone (preferably with an STi) for their stock suspension bits + $200 cash... I'm becoming a daddy soon and I DON'T think my future baby is going to like the ride.
This set up is NOT for someone looking for a nice street setup. These are high quality, track pieces and will provide a harsh but supremely controlled ride. Not to mention the higher road noise. Search the forums and read up on coilovers before you spring for these.
You can send me an email directly to samuelhkim@gmail.com. Thanks.
