Situation: I just bought a set of 225/40/18 Kumho MX's. They are in my garage just waiting for me to wear out my Falkan 451's. I measured the width of the tires and the MX's are nearly 2 inches wider than the Falkan's.

My question is, will these specific tires rub on my wagon with 18x7.5 +48 offset wheels?

I know there are lots of other tires out there that don't rub, I've had two sets that didn't rub, but the MX's seems a lot wider than either the Kumho 712's or the Falkan 451's.

Anyone have +48 offset 18x7.5s with 225/40 MX's on their wagon?

Thanks,
Greg

i run the exact same size kumho's on 18-7.5 also with also a +48.
i'm lowered on s-techs and haven't had a problem

Thanks.

You on Kumho MX's? I had 712's before and they didn't rub, but I bet the MX's are wider.

I am on 225/40/18 MXs also, with a 18x7.5 +50 offset, and dropped a good amount on my coilovers with no rubbing issues.

here they are, 18x8 et48 with Kuhmo MX 225/40-18 with no rubbing.
they did rub when i first put them on. i did have to roll fenders and run a little more - camber. currently camber in the rear is at -1.7. im lowered on espelir GT springs. not a lot of space left over

yeah theres a good sale on 225-40-18 MX's at tirerack for $97 a piece.

and if you get these $89 Enkei wheels from edgeracing (http://www.edgeracing.com/wheel/2421/), you have a ~$760 wheelset with kick a$$ tires, 18lb wheels in 18".
