If the friend knows how to drive then his tranny will be fine.
<----Is running a Zoom Performance sprung 6 puck with Fidanza flywheel on stock 5sp tranny on 18g meth inj pulling 11.9's in the 1/4 @ 119 mph with NO problems.
However that 6 puck is noisey and can be a major pain to drive in traffic.
DON'T PULL THE TRANNY! JUST MOVE THE ENIGINE!
Moving the engine forward six inches by removing the radiator and leaving the tranny bolted in is MUCH MUCH MUCH faster! (Likr hald the time)
No removeal of the driveshaft/axles...not nothing...
8 (IIRC) tranny bolts, 2 engine mount bolts, a couple exhaust bolts, a couple for the radiator...thats it.
Move the engine forward on a coule of jacks...
Trust me...
There's the "right way ^^^" and the Subaru way. Just move the engine.
