I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on some G-Force Sports when my dealer told me about these tires, which he says are made by BF Goodrich and are $25 less per tire than the Sports and are Z rated. The tread pattern is very similar to the Goodyear Eagle F1. Has anyone used these? If so, comments? I done a search and nuthin. Any input would be appreciated...thanks!

Yes, they are made by Michelin/BFG, but they ain't gonna be anywhere as good as the sports!

Don't listen to salesmen

I'm sure it's ok, just not great, and it's probably built in quite a generic fashion, easy to manufacture but probably skimping on some creature comforts, i.e. maybe noisy, poor ride, only ok grip. It could very well be a re-use of outdated technology, older compounds, etc. just in an affordable, tuner styled package.

It's tough to say how good they are. A quick search on Google hardly found anything, a lot of places selling them, a few comments/descriptions of them being used on some wheels(in a forum on some guys car or something like a sale on Ebay). About the only actual comment on them was from a few guys over on a Honda forum. Some said great tire, excellent wear, and one said it was the worst tire he ever owned. So...it's tough to say. I doubt you'd be awestruck by their performance, but I'm sure they'd do ok.

A friend of mine at Michelin states the compound is harder and fewer bands in the side wall. Just like what the ol saying states, You get what you pay for

Forget the Riken's...just purchased some Goodyear F1 GS-D3's at Tire Rack for $95 each. Couldn't pass them up at that price! Went with 215's instead of 225's, but should work fine for my wagon. Thanks for the comments on the Riken's.
