Never taken apart a rear diff before, but we are tomorrow. My buddy is puttin in a 6speed in his 03 wrx and were putting new gears in the rear diff. Just wonderin if anyone has any tricks or tips to this fun. Thanks

It's not too difficult to do. Make sure you torque the pinion nut properly. Also, I'd recommend a dial indicator for checking the backlash. The trickiest part will be making sure that you have the proper pinion depth. If you need to change the backlash, just swap shims from one side to the other. I'm assuming you already have the factory manual pages.
