GOAL: Inexpensive rally wheels to fit F-XT.

Rota (Cosmic) lists the following applications for the 15" Slipstream:

15 x 7.0 +35/+40 4h/5h x 100/114.3
15 x 6.5 +40/+45 4h/5h x 100/114.3

The 15" Rota Slipstream 15x7 in 5x100 is an ET35 wheel according to Subydude.com

I wonder if you can get the 15x6.5 in 5x100 ET45... and whether it will still fit over the stock WRX (Or F-XT!) brakes.

Does anyone know whether the 15x6.5 (+45) or 15x7 (+40) is available? And whether they fit over WRX calipers? Stock offset on the F-XT is 48, so I have more wiggle room with offset than the Impreza crowd.

Thanks!

Bump!

Is there ANYONE on the whole of NASIOC who has ever attempted to fit either of these wheels to a car?

This thread seems to think it's possible...

Rotor clearance isn't the issue. You also have to note which type of wrx brakes, the 02-05 wrx calipers have the pistons on the inner side of the wheel and don't protrude out towards the back side of the wheel spokes. 06s now come with 4-pots and the calipers stick out alot more towards the wheel spokes. Knowing that will tell you why slipstreams will or will not fit whatever brakes you intend on installing.

"WRX brakes" in the common vernacular in the US refers to the Tokico caliper setup that was stock on the US market WRX from MY02 to MY05. Note that I own an '04 Forester XT, which uses the same brakes.

The '06 USDM WRX brakes are FHI/STi non-Brembo 4-pots... typically referred to by name. I have referred to them as STi 4-pots (non-Brembo) since '99.

And yes I know, it is the caliper clearance that is the problem.
